Bridge Card Cut Off
As of April 1, 2011 BRIDGE CARDS WILL BE OFFICIALLY CUT OFF!
Last year, the Department of Health Services reported that during the 2009-2010 school year 10,000 to 18,000 colleges and university students were receiving food assistance according to the DHS website.
The new requirements have been set for what a student "in need" looks like on paper. Those who fall short are left to find for themselves.
Many student around campus are in an uproar because of the recent budget cuts. The student who have been cut off from assistance believe it is unfair and the change came without warning. Many students are unable to prepare themselves for a drastic change and don't know where the money for their groceries for the remaining of the semester will come from.
